Daimler's history dates back to 1871, when the headquarters were founded in Stuttgart, Germany. The company was at that time one of the main competitors of the Benz firm. Just months after the first three-wheeled car was released, the founder of the company Gottlieb Daimler and the chief engineer Wilhelm Maybach released and patented the world's first four-wheeled car with its own engine.

Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft is the second name of the brand, which it received in 1890. Founded in Stuttgart in the workshop of Gottlieb Daimler, she actively developed and grew. The result of fruitful cooperation with the designer Maybach was the creation in 1898 of the Daimler-Phöenix car with an 8 hp engine, which developed a phenomenal speed of 24 km / h at that time.

In 1901, under the influence of Emil Jellinek, Head of the company's representative office in France, the company develops a new series of Daimler-Mercede cars, which would later become legendary. In 1923, the ambitious engineer Ferdinand Porsche joined the company and developed a whole series of new engines. In addition, the company begins the development of engines for marine vessels and aviation. And in 1926, Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie form a consortium. After that, the company is actively developing. Mercedes remains one of its most famous brands to this day.
